Acoustic preamp, pedal, etc suggestions?

I was playing thru my Orange solid state with my acoustic and sounded decent but thought about getting a preamp or pedal of some kind to run into the return of my effects loop.

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions? I'd like to keep it cheap because otherwise I might as well buy the Fishman combo I was looking at for $799. Just something simple that gets great reviews. Thanks!

I really like the Boss AD-2 and use it exclusively, sometimes along with a CE-2w. The AD-2 has a line level output and nicely plugs into a board.
