I would like to start by saying....Thank You John Suhr and Company
for making the Greatest Guitar music Gear, for my Taste & Ear's.
I have been through just about every High Gainer that is worth
speaking about. While some were standouts above others and I have
enjoyed playing every single one, I just can't see it getting any better than this!
I cannot say enough, how much I am enjoying this combination.
It's safe to say I am a Suhr Fanboi.
I run these two amps through 2 Suhr Mini-Mix's, with a Les Paul
loaded with Suhr Aldrich pickups. Next on the Hit List is a Quilted
Suhr Modern. I couldn't be Happier with my Rig, than I am at this Time.

Nice. I purchased my first OD100 in 2006. Since then, I have played many amps and still love the CAA amps the best. Now , I need a Suhr guitar. Un-employed for 2 years and getting back on my feet, I looked to get me a custom Suhr early next year.

If you HAD to pick between the PT100 and the OD100 which do you think you'd pick?

It's IMPOSSIBLE for me!!!
That's like asking "What Child do you like better"?
The SE+ seems to be a bit more
Modern voiced while the PT is a slight
Nod towards a Vintage Marshall.
I paired them specifically for that reason,
I prefer the Full Tone of both rather than
one by itself.

I would pick the PT100. I had the original OD100, not the OD100 plus that is the new version I think, of the new OD100s. I had mine converted to an SE+ just before they were made with plexi transformers. The SE+ I had with 5881 and EL34 with original transformer and plexi. I loved both versions. The cleans with EL34s are great, but with 5881, it is just unreal. I play dirty most of the time, so I converted to the EL34 and plexi tranny. I loved the amp, but loved a PT100 I played. Now I had it converted to a PT100. I love the SE+ and PT the same. If I could, I would like both.

Damn! Guess you've got it all covered between those 2. What a rig.

I've been on an amp go-round for a few years. Settled on a couple of Splawns for about a year and a half and then ended up back with a PT50. After all the nice heads I've been through, I think the PTs are the ones that do the best job of covering everything (for me anyway).

First off, thank you Gentlemen for the Nice comments
you Guy's  !!

Phil M: Believe Me, I hear Ya!
I did the Splawn's, Diezel's, Bogner's,
Cameron, Soldano, Engl, Wizard, VHT, Elmwood,
Mako, Landry, Marshall, Mesa, Blackstar and
a few others I can't remember.
I tried mixing Various amp Combinations
to achieve the Tone I was after.....Some combinations
were better than others but always came up short
as to what I was hearing in my head.
They were all Fantastic at doing what they do but
when I plugged into the Custom Audio, I knew I had
found what I was searching for after years of Tone chasing.

It's a Good feeling not to GAS for another amp right now.
I have a HUGE smile on my face every time I plug into the Rig,
that has never happened. I always heard something a little off
with the other amps.... The PT & SE+ is the Sound in my head.

I really liked my Splawns and still want another one but if it's just gonna be one amp (like it is for me right now), it's the PT50.

Don't have this Modern anymore but it was a nice guitar.
