CCV vs. EVH 5150 III

Can't seem to find this on the board. Loaded question, what is the difference between a CCV and EVH 5153? I really like the EVH and it records well. In talking to some forum members, they felt the EVH recorded "better than the CCV. Any thoughts?

record differently ? record better? too subjective . very different amps. 5150 follows the soldano thing, cold bias one of the gain stages. CCV 3 gains, 5150 4 etc. I would worry more about how my ears hear the amp, then the recording thing can be manipulated a million ways.
