I have had this preamp for several years, and it always worked fine. Probably the best sounding, most versatile preamp I have had. Great cleans, AMAZING crunch tones, great leads. Tons of control, wonderful tones. I really prefer the front panel interface to menu diving as well!!
About a month ago, it stopped making sound and I noticed some smoke coming from it. Turned it off, unplugged it. Called my tech, he said he could only work on it if I have a schematic, which I do not. He cannot find one either.
Pics are current - you can see it turns on just fine. The circled component in the last pic is where the smoke is coming from (the yellow/orange bulbs - capacitors?).
Can you fix it? Give it a shot!!
