So long story short some Rowdiness insued on stage at a recent gig, somehow I ended up with two small dings on the beck of my Moderns neck (near the nut at the open G chord position. Not a huge issue but I am wondering if it can be filled in? It has a satin finish I believe. Any info would help. My father has also woodworked for the last 35 yrs so I think we could handle the job.
It still plays great and stays in tune. And most of the time I don't really notice. I'm just looking for some tips on filling/refinshing or if it would be better of just leaving it? Also sometime in the next 2 yrs I will be replacing the nickel frets with stainless steel. Maybe I should wait and leave it up to the professionals?
