The color fade of the bottom half would make an awesome burst. Topaz sort of vibe.

That is the only thing I regret not asking for on mine was more figuring on the fingerboard. The neck on my Curly Koa Modern is very similar to his but I actually requested a "dark", little to no figuring on the fingerboard.....and now I look back and wonder why I did that, because that looks absolutely beautiful!
