Splawn-modded 1959 Super Lead mkII Reissue Clip

I like it! Good rock tone! How would you compare it to the Competition you owned? Sounds like a keeper!

Thanks for listening! I think the Marshall has a tad more low end but then again I didn't have a Genz Benz G-Flex cab back when I had the Competition. I did hear the Marshall thru a Marshall cab prior to buying it though.

I think the Competition is more articulate without a pedal than the Marshall and the treble does not get as harsh when you turn the knob up. Right now on the Marshall I have the presence, treble, and mid knobs below noon. The Marshall's high mids are easier to control IMO than they were on the Competition, but again I had a Genz Benz with Private Jack speakers back then and it was a very middy cab (hated that thing). :)
