I just saw a video of peter gusmano playing his suhr modern with reverse headstock, and I think it looks really cool. So I just order my modern and I want to get a reverse headstock, but will it change the feel, or playability, or the sound?

Me, playing my Suhr Standard Skyblue Burst with a reversed maple headstock.. Aldrich in the bridge and FL in the neck.. :)

if it has a locking nut, there's no difference other than cosmetic, and practical (for tuning and string changes).

if you have a regular nut, there's definitely a difference! theoretically, the tension of the high unwound strings will decrease and increase for the low wound strings. but that is only according to length. the angle behind the nut also makes a difference for how effectively the string is terminated.

the playability is not improved imho, especially if you want to do behind the nut bends. but appearance wise it rules!

i play a reverse headstock standard with non locking 2-point trem as my #1 ...

.

Big difference to me. String tension changes the tone. Better? Worse? Objecive. I like both.

Gets a bit confusing on a lefty. I just placed an order for a 3rd with a custom paint job, also reversed but it will have the Gotoh Floyd.
