Here is the beginning of my dilemma, a friend of mine has the same amp but has put KT66 power tubes in it and he has told me that the amp is perfectly capable of running this tube as long as it is bias correctly and you either remove or shim/raise up the heat vent. I wanted to message you (Egnater) to ask if this is indeed correct that this is possible this way? I am perfectly confident in doing all the adjusting bias and replacing the tubes and all that goes along with this type of thing but just didn't want to just go and blow up the amp or harm it in any way.
