This guy knows how to box up a item to survive a pissed off ups delivery truck driver.
I mean, I had to take a 2 beer break after unpacking the cab before pluging into it.
Never seen so much cardboard and tape and plastic and packing stuff on a item before.
He is the man, went over and beyond.

That was an EXCELLENT packing job!

I received a box about twice as big (depth and height) and 150% as long as the amp.

Opening it...inside was several layers of carpet base foam all around...inside that...another box...with shipping info on it in case the outer box got destroyed! (smart man)

Inside the second box was layer after layer of styrofoam sheeting...around the padded Studio Slips case he threw in for free....around the 5 lbs of plastic sheeting....but NOTHING was actually taped to the amp! So I didn't have to worry about goo on the tolex. That thing was packed for war. He also put styrofoam between the trannys and the headshell so they'd have some better support than just the chassis.

Took me darn near 10 minutes to unpack it. I actually stopped and got a cigar when I saw the first layer of carpet foam...I could tell that would take a bit of doing.


He also gave me a free set of (6)SED 6550's...in addition to the EL34s...and the Studio Slips cover.

The amp's pretty awesome too. Everything works as it should...sounds wonderful!
