Korg Pitchblack - Quick Question on DC Power Output

Does anybody know if the DC output power on the Pitchblack is effectively isolated from the Pitchblack itself?

Put in simpler terms, can you power another pedal (or a simple buffer, for example) using the DC output from the tuner without resulting in ground loop issues?

I don't know for sure, but I doubt that it is isolated, my guess is that its just a pass through power jack.
 
I have it powering my decimator, it hasn't caused me any troubles...? It's supposed to power up to 200mA. I don't know how it is technically powering it up but-yea, no problems :dunno:
 
I read the manual for it, never mentions isolated dc power or anything like that. Also says the jack can only be used when the dc in jack is in use (dc out will not run off battery). I think blackba is right and its just a pass through.
 
not sure but I use a Pitchblack too and have it powered by a Pedal Power ( which power a Wah as well) on my board, the rest of my pedals are racked. The Pitchblack is a great tuner!
 
No, it's not, power output is just a daisy chained.

I liked to use that output a lot until it died on mine :(
I've heard some other guys had similar experience.
But the tuner is very, very nice :)
 
I don't think it is, but I run a daisy chain off the DC output on my Pitchblack with no problems.

I just got a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+, which does have Isolated outputs. But because I have more pedals than outputs, I'll run most of them with the PP2+ and the remainder via the daisy chain and Pitchblack DC output.
