I think I want one of these

Based on the tones he's getting with this little amp, it seems like ti would be perfect for home practice and recording.

He definitely makes it sound good. It runs on batteries (8xAA) which is a drag. Having that as an option would be OK, I guess, but I would never use it. I'd much rather plug the thing into a wall socket. For what it is, it seems to be pretty cool and sounds better than the Vypyr 10 I bought a few years ago as a cheap grab-N-go practice amp. Like the Vypyr, though, there is no footswitch. To be able to practice the stuff we play in my cover band, I really need to be able to switch between clean and crunch. Not having that ability would keep me from buying it.

P.S. What's with the industrial design lunacy of late? The THR looks like a space heater and the Kemper looks like a high-tech toaster. Open letter to the design teams: It's not cool; it just looks wierd.

Seen Soren in other videos - dude can play.
I think this is large in part as to why it sounds so good. Gear is gear, needs the fingers. Like any of us vehicular commuters hopping behind the wheel of an Indy500 car. We might not be as "fluid" as the trained drivers.

It does plug in to a wall socket...batteries are an option...I played one the other day and was quite impressed. I'm very tempted to pick one of these up for practice.

They are releasing two new versions too...

I'm digging that Classic version a lot. Seems like a cool practice amp for sure. I love the idea of the ipod input with the mix control.

Damn,, that guy has the thickest Danish accent next to Lars Ulrich

I have a THR10, and its one of my favorite pieces of gear I've EVER bought. I love it just as much as my big rigs (VHT Deliverance, Fender Prosonic) which should tell you something.

It's hands down the best sounding/feeling home-recording amp I've ever played. The fact that it doubles as a monitor system makes it even more valuable to me.

The "lead" (JMP) model is worth the pricetag alone.....mindblowing!

This is the only thing I've recorded with it so far - more or less just a small test clip:

Sounds great! I'm thinking that this could be the best way to actually track things at my house, as I can't really crank the 5153 to get the best tones out of it at home.

I picked one up at lunch...I'll report back once I put it through the wringer

Well...I spent about an hour or so with it last night...my living room is open to the second floor and it easily filled up the space...did it sound or feel like a 4x12 behind me? Nooooo...but it does sound really, really good...The mix control for the guitar input / iPod input is nice so you can adjust your levels for jamming...all of the models are very usable and frankly some of the best sub-$1000 models I've heard...All in all, a good purchase...very small, easy to tote around...I think it will be a great practice / playing in the living room type of tool. Can't wait to try it via USB and record

Main thing holding me back from buying one is the lack of a speaker output jack to plug in a cabinet, and the fact that I don't have any spare gear fund money at the moment :(

Alright...had it for about 5 days...took it back...not that it isn't cool, but the tiny little speakers just put me off...I didn't enjoy it for jamming along with songs as much as plugging into my recording interface and loading up Overloud or Amplitube through monitors...I'm still looking for another cool, portable jamming solution
