What types of ABR-1 style replacement bridges do you guys like for your Les Paul's?

I also need to get new bushings and new studs for the tailpiece and I was thinking about tone pros.

Not displeased with the sound, it's just that even with the retainer wire, my bridge still rattles on certain notes.

be careful with Tone Pros, a bunch of their stuff are made from Zamak...cheaper metals. The Nashville that came on my 2012 Trad + was Zamak and wasn't cutting it for me.

Look for Faber, Pigtail or Callaham. I have a locking ABR-1 from Faber with raw brass saddles and the ToneLock Tailpiece studs and super happy with the tonal improvements plus the bridge and tailpiece don't fall off when you remove all strings at once ;)

Is that their master kit? I've been looking into for some time now.

this ...T1ZSA “Aluminum Featherweight” Locking Tailpiece

TonePros Model AVR-II

I like the Gibson non-wire "Custom Shop" ABR-1. The Callaham version is made better - but has those locking nut holes that ruin the vintage vibe.

Nope. Its just their ABRL that utilizes existing Nashville inserts. I installed it on a 2012 trad +. They now offer a insert removal tool and new and improved inserts over the gibby ones that I may have to try out, dunno what they call as I haven't checked out their site since I bought the stuff about 18 months ago.

I looked into the Faber & Callaham parts when I needed to replace the ABR-1 on my LP Special. I was fully prepared to get one of those, but I did not want any tonal changes to the guitar. There are debates on whether the tone changes for the better or worse all over the internet.

To be safe, I went with the Tonepros. Same cheap ass metal the stock Gibson is made of and no change in tone, so that worked for me.

If you're happy with your sound, go with the Tonepro's. If you're not happy and looking for a tone change, go with the others.

Good advice.

Thanks man

http://www.faberusa.com/

Check em out and looks for the right model for whatever LP you have

Yeah, I had visited the site but still not sure what I'm doing. :) I want it for my '80 LP Deluxe. I figured since it has all the hardware including a gibson stopbar I'd be good to go. Perhaps not?

I've got Pigtail ABRs and Stop-tails on my replicas and they're great, but I got them directly from Steve before he passed away. Don't know if the Pigtail stuff being made today is as good; probably is.
