torpedo CAB doubt

Hello people, I'm using a torpedo cab pedal to record some of my things at home.
Normally I use it with my distortion stompboxes (I normally use PROCO distortions, or the dark lady from nemesis, or the distortion badass from mxr).

I like to use my own distortion stompboxes, but I was wondering. Should I get one specific preamp to use with torpedo???

like the:
"le clean" or the "le crunch"...???

If you think it would be a great improve, wich one should i get if I still want to use my distortion pedals with it???

yeah, try 1 or 2 mooer micro preamp pedals. they kick ass and won’t break the bank

My experiance with speaker IRs and two notes specific ones is the better the preamp the better they respond.

Distortion boxes are ok, preamp pedal a little better, real amp going into a load box great.

I 've compared lots of preamps and pedals using my torpedo CAB. I always come back to my mesa boogie mark III... If I were you, I'd get a nice mesa studio preamp / engl preamp or even a Diezel VH4 pedal. Here are some quick tests of mine using various IRs
