Surprised at how clean the workmanship is...has resistors on the tube sockets for biasing, must have been to make tube changes on the road quicker. The bias was right on too. Svet EL34's, JJ 12ax7 in V1 (not now of course, old Mullard now) and chinese in V2 and V3....Ruby Gold Filter caps (not sure why on this), Dagnall OT and shielded input wires. Another cool thing is threaded inserts for machine screws to attach the back panel.

Hopefully these pics show up, still not sure on the mac pic hosting yet.

Yes, the pics are showing up...and they look great.

Cool thanks for letting me know. Too many different links show up to pick from. :)

Looks awesome - man, I would love to play one of those amps sometime!

wowsers, that's best looking, modern Marshall gutshot I've ever seen

Man that is one clean looking amp. What a slut though... showing everyone her parts (most of us have not been formally introduced).

I wants.

Not the "opening up" I was hoping for..............................

That does look very nice :)

Not sure if he has what you need to get the original tubes, but I purchased some tubes awhile back from Doug's Tubes, great service; he took the time to discuss various options with me too. http://www.dougstubes.com/ Worth a look.

Nice! I hadn't seen the back panel before. I dig the white-on-black.

Oh, and about the pics...another thing you can do that I find handy sometimes, is if you go to the Finder, then go to your iDisk, anything that you put in the 'Sites' folder of your iDisk you can link to online with the URL http://homepage.mac.com/yourusernameher ... e.whatever.

If you're not at your computer, you can access your iDisk by going to http://www.me.com/idisk.

You can use the iDisk/Sites method for images, mp3s, videos, any kind of document...

I've been keeping an eye out for some 6CA7's...hoping to not have to pay $500.00 for a quad of tubes. I know it would sound killer with those.

It's prety cool they did that. It has a nice cover and booklet with some great pics in it too.

Cool I'll try that. I've been uploading to the mobile me gallery site and trying to link from there.. About a 50% success rate so far

Thanks Tom. Its a pretty dark, thick fat sounding amp overall, I'd like it to have some more top end snap/zing. Maybe something other than GB's would help that. I've only played my JB loaded LP thru it, so it could be that too.

CH I is basically a Superlead but it gets pretty crunchy when its turned up. CH II has more gain than a 2203. I think most guys would still use a pedal to boost it though.
