Small Box Line out

I can run the Line out to our mixer to have guitars in the PA, right? My band decided that we need to have in ear monitors and instead of mic-ing my small box I can run the Line out to the mixer and be able to hear myself through the in-ears right?

I know that I still have to use a guitar cab but I'm a novice when it comes to the PA and the line out of amps.
 
I'm mainly going to use it to run to the mixer so I can hear it in my in-ear monitors. So will this just sound like crap? I have the Two-notes captor on order so I know I can use that as a speaker emulator (is simulated and emulation the same thing?) when that comes but for now I just have the line out.
 
It will be buzzy and thin but will work.

I've been waiting for a Captor too but finally gave up last week and order a Suhr reactive load. Sweetwater said the Captor will now be at least the middle of July.
