Original Marsha amps vs modern Friedman lineup. Upgrade?

Hi all,

I'm been playing my Marsha since about 2010. Fantastic amp and I haven't really gas'd for anything else but the features of the BE50 have my attention.

But I'm curious how my Marsha compares to the modern amps? Just by going what I read here, it seems like there's been some definite variations of the BE over the years...more compressed/dark vs the newer ones being more open. Any thoughts of the older amps vs the newer models? Curious if my older amp is more like a BE, smallbox, etc?

Like many folks, I'll basically have to buy one to try so any info is helpful.

I can only link to a pic, but here's my Marsha...I like how it's gotten a little ratty over there years :)

The Marsha is what ultimately became the BE100. Most of the Friedman amps have the Marsha DNA.

If you like the BE50dlx features, you should be able to get familiar sounds from it.
