I play the Friedmann Small box in combination with a Bogner 2x12. Can you tell me where you put the mic on the box (dimensions from below and outside) so that sounds good to you?

I had the compact version. I don't know what version you have but anyway... I would recommend to use the flashlight of your mobile phone to see were the speaker precisely is. I would place a sennheiser e906 in the middle between the cone and the outer speaker rim, a sm57 at the same place but angled aprox. 45° towards the cone. However, use a flash light;-).

Just stick the ear-goggles on and run the same riff through it while moving it to the sweet spot - mark the sweet spot with some tape, boom, done, off ya go.

But let your ears be your guide - not the grille cloth.
