Dave, tell me about that Pedalpro please. Would you say it's the end all and no more pedal board needed at all? Does it bug you that there is no reverb, no pitch shift and no fuzz in the unit?
Be all, end all to replace a pedal board - no. I mean it never could be. If it had a Klon in it someone would prefer a Timmy instead. But how different is that from liking a 2290 for delays, Lexicon for verb, and Eventide for shifting? Are the verbs in the Eventide great? Of course. But someone will always bitch that it's not as good as Lexicon
The fx in the PP are super high quality, but there will always be somebody that has to have their favorite pedal over all else. That's why...
it has the 2 loops. I don't use Fuzz, but if I wanted I would add it in the 1st loop - so no problem. Same with Pitch Shift and Reverb. I have a WET reverb in the back of that rack in the 2nd loop (there is a complete mixer in the PedalPro for that loop). But I don't use much of those 2 fx either. I thought about getting an Eventide Eclipse for the 2nd loop, or use the PCM 70 I have, but I just don't use them enough at this time to justify adding them in.
I really like the way and volume expression functions in the PP. I have messed with other functions with the expression pedal. I'd say it is more than worth trying it. He has a 30 day return policy. It really is a great unit. I have $3k plus in pedals for a pedal/rack I was going to build, which I just never did. Not sure that I ever will at this point either.
I think it will be the hub of my rigs for quite a while, especially since it can be integrated into almost any rig.
