I spoke with you a few weeks back regarding this James and if I didnt have Prior commitments for that evening , I would be there without fail. It really sounds like a blast...

Thanks again for the invite but unfortunately, I havent figured out how to be in 2 places at once

That sounds like a blast but I too have plans for Saturday already. Thanks for the invite.

Same as others have stated, thanks for the invite though!

Yeah it's about an hour from NAMM.

For you metalheads my friend Michael Wagner just RSVP'd, he's coming: http://www.michaelwagener.com/html/discography.html

He produced and/or mixed; every Dokken record, Ozzy 'No More Tears', Skid Row, Extreme 'Pornograffitti', Metallica 'Master Of Pupets', Motley Crue, Megadeth, White Lion etc... This guy knows guitar sound like nobody's business. It's gonna be a cool hang, he's a great guy and he'll talk to you about everyones guitar rig and all the funny stories about making the records. The guy has tracked some of the greatest guitar players to have ever walked the earth. He produced the solo in 'Get The Funk Out'...OUCH! \m/

You guys say hi to Bill&Becky from billlawrence.com for me! They have a booth set up.

Ask them why they slacked off on their 7-string L-500 design.

I think Scott asking Bill Lawrence why he slacked off on the 7 string pickup is a good 1st time NAMM initiation.

thanks-very generous

i would love to meet and talk with that guy! unfortunately i'm playing that night about 1 1/2 hrs away.....

get some stories out of him about the george lynch under lock and key ghetto tone rig, as well as nuno's pornographiti recordings,as well as what it was like to work with those guys, and post back ASAP!

i'd love every detail---mics, positioning, pres, comp/limiters, fx, recording devices, mix tips, ect!!!

those tones were legendary, but oddly both george and nuno have at times claimed in prima donna fashion that they were primarily responsible for the "production" of those recorded tones and want to take credit away from MW...independantly citing that they had to battle with him to get it done "their way"

what's up with that? i'm certain MW has another side to those stories!

I figured I'd bump this. Available guitar amps to hear during gear shootout:

Bogner Ecstacy 101B 100 Watt Head
Bogner Uberschall 100 Watt Head
Marshall JCM2000 100 Watt Head
Soldano Avenger 100 Watt Head
Orange Rockerverb 100 Guitar Head
Mesa Boogie Lonestar Special Amp Head
Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier 'Tremoverb' Head
Orange 4X12 Straight Guitar Cab Vintage 30's
Mesa Boogie 2X12 Cab Vintage 30's
2 - Mesa Boogie 4X12 Cab Vintage 30's
Marshall Straight Cab - 75's
Carvin Legacy 2X12 Cab / Vintage 30's

I'll be at the TC Electronics/TC Helicon booth on Friday.
