Hell for what the street price is gonna be....why not?

Just think about the used prices..... :D

That's just what they want you to think.

"BUGERA will be showing off its brand-new products on the BEHRINGER Booth at the NAMM Show 2007, Hall A Booth 6756"

Just like Korg, Boss, Marshall, Vox, and whatever else aren't Roland. :P

that's a killer deal

i remember when you couldn't give a mint one away for $500, now they go for $700-800

i've bought two of them, and paid $350 both times...once about 4 years ago, and again just over a year ago (the last one was a real score after the price hike)

so, its really not a behringer then??

behringer came out with some guitar and bass cabs a while back, that all bad bugera speakers...not sure what the deal is, the only time i've heard the new bugera was associated with behringer

maybe it was a small co. they bought out, or just another name they're giving for products hoping they won't associate them with behringer

as stupid as it sounds...i know people who can't see the connections between GMC and Chevrolet trucks

My guess is Behringer and Bugera are the same company. The Company I work for has lots of brand names.

Anyway I hope Peavey sues the pants off of them. Can't Bugera/Behringer work on their own designs for once. I mean having a few copied products is expected, but how about some innovation.

As an Engineer, I really dislike when people steal my designs....

well, for one...we dotn KNOW if its a clone of a 5150, it LOOKs like one ont he outside but we dont KNOW.we are all assumimg.

I haven't ever seen Bugera speakers in anything but Behringer bass combos and cabs, and those are notorious for breaking and blowing.

I have yet to hear Behringer make(copy) anything that another company didn't already do better for a little more dough. I am VERY skeptical, but you really never know.

In general, it's my opinion that Behringer makes cheap crap and should only be sold at Wal-Mart. :D

Behringer is pulling a tactic they used when they copied the entire Boss line of pedals last year:

-introduce pedal designs at NAMM that look nearly identical to Boss, pedal for pedal
-people see them, realize what they're clones of
-some people react in horror, others in gratitude
-Boss says "ok now stop it" and Behringer conveniently immediately has a new look ready for ALL the pedals

So what I'm guessing is this: they test the waters before they release the products themselves and have backup cosmetics and/or names. If someone threatens to sue, they say "ok, fine, we'll play nice" and then they change. But by then it's too late because all the dealers who attended NAMM, and everyone following NAMM, knows what they're clones of.

That's their plan.

That's right. It will have half the parts missing, and the rest will just be the cheapest thing they could find to slap in there, so it won't be a "true" clone. :P

plus the company is located on the British Virgin Islands, I'm sure this has some legal reasons.
They probably haven't signed any copyright treaties or whatever and Behringer can produce almost exact clones of other manufacturers.
Berrk.

BBWWAAAHHAAAHHHAAAAA the "6260"

everything named behringer breaks at some point. they are cheap for a reason

These things are going to go so cheap on the used market you would be crazy not to try one. :)

I'd say it's a fair assumption, though, considering Behringer's Tech 21 copy is almost identical to the real thing (costmetics and workmanship withstanding, of course). Mine sounds pretty good for a $90 practice amp :D

Well you can't buy an empty chassis and finished cab for less than 300 bucks. If the bastard works...then fine ...if not use the parts to build a quality ptp kit from weberVST (less the cab/chassis charge).

No brainer IMO for those that love to tinker and have some electrical skills. I don't see how this amp will be any worse than the Windsor or Epi cheapos. Problaby all of them are built in the same god damn Chinese plant.

Or sometimes less. Most of their stuff really is not that much of a deal. It's just that you can get it all from one company, whereas you'd have to sniff around for something better from everyone else. That's what these forums are here for, though.

They actually *gasp* licensed that, though.

Those are simpler and lower power. 3 channel 120 watt amps in that same range? I don't think so.
