i thought there where a few guys that own/owned them here. thoughts, opinions, tones. if you see my practice amp thread, you'll see what i'm after. mostly wondering how the amp sounds at lower volumes & higher volumes. anyone use the parallel loop knob for a master volume? what does it do well or do poorly?

bump. Steve? you gotta have one of these hiding in your pile of VHT's!

I had one, loved it.
The only reason i got rid of it was to get a Deliverance 60.

low volumes? ever try the FX level master thing i mentioned above?

Nope, sorry. I don't have a 45, but I do have a Super 30 which is very similar.
I'm actually sitting here in my bedroom setting up a few configurations for it now. I'm going to try several different OD pedals, a Hotplate and some loop tricks.
I'll let you know what I find, but that won't be till tomorrow.
It sounds great at low volumes, but you will need a pedal to get a real heavy sound. I have not jumped the loop, so I can't tell you about that. That does work well on other amps I have. I've just never done it with this amp.
And the 30 is retardo loud...

It sounded good at low volumes. Great clean, great crunch.
If you want heavier tones you'll have to boost it, as Steve said.

yeah, that's cool. no problem with boosting to get heavier sound. let me know about your other findings Steve. thanks. the 45 i was looking at...the guys is gonna try and sell it local 1st, so we'll see.
