so me going back to playing bass lasted all of a month. needless to say i got a better offer 8)

having a seven string is a requirement, so i need to get one soon. i can talk 6's all day long. but i dont know shit about 7's.
first off FIXED BRIDGE ONLY!!! and for initially gettin myself going in this i am budget limited to around $750 or under. i could stretch it to $1000 if need be. but i have to still get a head a two cabs. i was looking at higher end LTD's and Ibenhad's , or maybe higher end schecter's?? :? planning in having to likely change pups anyways so i guess i would say i would preffer mahogany body, and a comfy neck is the biggest thing.

also have my '88 LP studio (one of the real ones with serious vibe) and or my Krank Chadwick to trade if need be.

You could just tune your LP to B, unless you really need all 7 strings for soloing or whatever.

No Ibanez 7 strings have a mahogany body, so forget those. I'd go for one of the Schecter 7's with Duncan pickups.

which models code 001???? thats my problem i dunno which are shitty???

and Mega....the other guitarist is using 7's and all the music is written with one from the low b to the high e , so me being in standard B on a 6 wouldn't be the same.

Pretty sure the S model 7 strings have mahogany bodies.

Those are very hard to find though. It seems as if he needs something fairly soon.

There are Ibanez models that have Mahogany bodies....... The new S7 that was just release is probably right up your ally. You can make it so the bridge is blocked with the ZR trem.

There are 3 RG7s on that page with mahogany bodies and are about $800.

The Cooley 7 is a nice freaking guitar believe it or not, slamming low action and very well built. Well thought out guitar and will give the UV a run for it's money.

I just wish the fretboard would extend to the neck pickup. Maybe have a fret or two more. They're also too much $, especially for the Lo-TRS trem.

Another guy wanting frets almost impossible to play :P

The guitar is very well built and is the same price pretty much as the UV, I thought I saw the price at NAMM to be around $1900 :? Street should be less.

I'll sell you a mint condition Schecter Hellraiser 7 string with hard case for $500. It is effectively the same guitar Jeff Loomis from Nevermore was playing before his sig model...

Which model was that though? He has 2. I remember one of them being $4300 list.....

Good question :?

I know it was not $4300, I know the one I had in my hands will be had for under 2.

The freaking Dean booth was crazy all week with Long Helmut and Rusty trying to cut each others heads off

You talk to Rusty at all? He seems like such an awesome guy. I could care less how many people bitch at him for playing with "no emotion." He's a killer player and that's that. I really want to try one of those Deans too, because I heard the neck is SUPER thin. That cutaway is extreme as fuck too, so it should be more than comfortable to play. If only it had an OFR.....

Enough about this. How was the 8 string, Scott? Sorry I missed ya at the Gilbert gig. The only guys I saw were Kage and Bob...

Well, I know he thought the neck was "huge." He only told me that on the phone about 20 times.
