Id check out those ibanez's, RG7321 i think? Good value, good guitars. Spend the extra bones on a pickup upgrade if you think you need it!

Enough about this. How was the 8 string, Scott? Sorry I missed ya at the Gilbert gig. The only guys I saw were Kage and Bob...

Steve

Yeah yeah yeah...........I thought seeing you would be easy since I heard you were 6'2" or around there but we were more towards the back.

The 8 string does have a wide freaking neck, add another 4-5 mills at least from the RG7 and the F# string is thick. If you handled the 7 strings with little adjustment I bet you could settle in on the 8 but as Tom said yeah it is huge :o Neck plays great, typical prestige neck fretwork.

Tom.....Rusty is very cool and down to earth.

Well, I'm actually closer to 6'5" and was near the back by the side door, but I never saw anyone but Kage (actually I saw Pat earlier on...), not even Ralph who I'd have easily recognized... Oh well... hopefully you'll be back next year...

Anyway, are you gonna get the 8 string? I really want to play one and may get one. Whaddaya think street price is gonna be?

A small shop down the street quoted me at around $1450 so maybe a larger volume shop could do ya better. I am not sure Steve, if I do I have to unload the 7 string and I love that guitar.

You were in the back?? I was maybe 10' from the back right where that colume was in the center of the floor. I saw your picture before so I knew what you looked like :? I think you ditched me :x

I was standing with Hesam (Mr. Ten) right behind a column on the keyboard side of the stage a few feet from the bar. We prolly coulda shook hands.... :o

I'd never ditch ya, big guy!

The Cooley 7 is a nice freaking guitar believe it or not, slamming low action and very well built. Well thought out guitar and will give the UV a run for it's money.

USA Deans are very well made but you will not get Rusty's 7 for that price.

ibanez did have a great 7 string mahogany, I think its rg 2120 or something, it also has a piezo and (I think) original wizard neck, you can allways block the trem
