I watched him at the Laney Booth at NAMM but the show at TM was off the charts. During his second song he unleashed this juggernaut line that had Shea and I in tears it was so amazing. He and his band mates had one day to sort through three songs and they freaking ripped, just amazing.

Done to earth guy as well, very very cool cat and funny as hell for sure so check him out!

He doesnt sound like Vai at all IMO. He's got a way more bluesy thing happening but when he goes to full on shred, its fucking ridiculous.

His show at TM did not remind me of Vai at all, he is a theory nut and moves outside of the pentatonic and ionian modes so maybe that is what is happening.

All I know what he did with one days practice with his band was off the charts.

I agree. Then again we saw this guy 3 and a half feet away rippin' through an Eintsein and matching cab. the live experience overall was awesome. He did have Vai like speed and accuracy. But when he slowed down he had very soulful phrasing IMO. :)

Hes player number 3 on this video, about 3 minutes in from memory, he does some AMAZING slap and pop on guitar, just great. Definately a monster!

EDIT - Let me correct myself, he starts at exaclt 4 minutes in.

I didn't like how the Einstein was miked and what came off the PA that night. Too fuzzy for my taste.

It didnt sound right to me and thats an amp that I like alot.... the highs when Christophe was playing damn near killed me...
