Hopefully those knobs are proto's...ugly.

The name is kinda dumb, too.

But, I'm coming around to VHT tone.

I like it...I just wish It had an overall master volume...But hey, I'll never be able to afford one, so it's ok! haha.

Everything looks amazing about that amp except 1 thing: the name :?
I don't get it.

That is Steve Fryettes twisted sense of humor.
He's pretty much making fun of companies that make signature model amps.
The logo is printed on the face to represent a signature line, like on a document you would sign. you know when they say....sign at the X.
It is written like this:

SIG X_______________

To me it's pretty damn funny... :D

WOW!

Thats looks awesome. Looks like Mark IV's are gonna have some competition! I bet it's priced though the damn roof though.

ahhhhhh ok.
I thought it was something like that.
Can't wait to get pricing :)

looks amazing. The only thing I'm missing is a gain volume on the clean channel so you can dail in the inbetween sounds. I rarely use a completely clean clean.

Can anyone confirm whether this amp has an effects loop or not? I assumed it would :)

You are giving me more GAS than the burritos I ate last night.

I love love love my Mesas, but I think I actually NEED one of these...

I already did....
All the specs I posted were from Steve Fryette...

I think the Boost switch on the clean channel will get you there...It does on the UL and CLX... :D

I hope this one is under $2k because I really, really want one.

I doubt it. With all those options I'm guessing it's probably closer to UL pricing. Still, I want one too!!! It's like Steve F "Mark IVed" one of his amps, meaning he went fucking nuts with tone-shaping options :D

Its proposed list price is quite abit lower than the UL list price.....I just have a ballpark price right now.

Good to hear. I'm giong to wait until people get theirs first and get a full review of the tones (perhaps I can con Carl or Steve into seeing if they can dial in modern metal tones as well - not that I'd just play that, I just need to have that ability since that's what I play in bands and such).

I'd bet my life on it being able to pull off super heavy, tight modern tones...Especially with all the control over the power section. And Steve builds his controls to truly work.
I'm very excited to get mine...

Damn you and your GAS creating ways! :x

Brian K had this to say.....

"No Doubt.

I have been taking a few of these proto speakers for spins in the studio & on my upcoming CD and brother they sound GREAT!

The new Sig X is off the charts for the cats that need all the goodies. Best Clean in a multichannel amp EVER! --- IMHO of course. That amp has mind boggling flexibility.

It is fun to watch and be apart of the process with VHT. I have been a dedicated VHT player for 7 years now and it is only getting better.

I own a room full of amps but found myself reaching for my D60 atleast 75% of the time tracking said new CD.

Brilliant!
BK"
