Thanks man! I'm not sure what the differences are between the AC,RC and BB but everyone seemed to love the BB so I decided to give it a shot... :)

That song of Andy's is one of my all time favorite tones, he told me once the first half of the song is the clean channel of a 5150. But that the amp only sounded like that for 20 minutes at a time, so they would turn it off for an hour and go back again... ANYHOW :)

I think YOUR tone is working great, maybe turn turn the volume down on your guitar a bit, with the same amp/pedal settings. The original seems to have a little more bark on the attack, but less gain.

I prefer the 808 hands down clarity and push. BB I had and same problem here not same problme but a little to soft, compressed and dark. Almost like a XTC (good thing) but not quite.

what type of amp is that vlad? MV?

It's a1971 Marshall Super Lead with a Hotplate and Rich mod PPIMV. I ended up selling the OD808 and keeping the BB. I like that pedal alot.

Thanks man... This amp is magic... No joke. Best amp I've owned.

The SL has less gain, more sag and some (older ones) are darker-sounding. The 800 is brighter, a bit more gain and is a good deal tighter. Both are loud as all hell.
 
so with the PPIMV is it like a MV?

Hmmm... Not sure if I would agree with that description for this particular amp. It sounds like it did without the PPIMV except my ears aren't ringing... :D

I haven't tried the new ones. I've heard the 1959HW in clips and it sounds real close to mine.
 
Yeah EQ volume? Do you have to do tht input thing..... where you put a cord from input 2 into input 1?

Right now it's
Presence:10
Bass:4
Middle:10
Treble:10
VolI:10

MV at around 10:00 hotplate at -12. It's not all that loud at all...

Top-left input - VolI High
