Got my JVM but

before returning the amp, try to reset it. It is described somewhere in the manual....
In any case make sure your FX loop is OFF and let me also know if Clean Red works properly.

I wish you well. I'm so pissed right now. I had to sit through the weekend waiting for the amp while it SAT at UPS and now the damn thing isn't working correctly.
 
I tried the reset...same problem. Volume on od1 with green has to be turned all the way up to hear it and there's no gain...it's clean. Red on od1 is a little louder but has less crunch than the crunch channel.

that what I'm thinking. Does MF arrange for pickup for defective products? I don't have a UPS close enough to me (considering I always have my 2 little kids with me). They'd better overnight me a replacement.

I'd get on the horn with them right now and see what they'll do. Please keep us posted, I'm very curious to see how MF will handle this, especially since it looks like your amp was messed with before you got it.

MF does all returns with fedex and will ship most orders ups. They will send you an email to print fedex label. When you are in fedex site just schedule a pickup your self. I stopped buying amps from MF. I only ordered 2 from them and both showed up DOA. You are doing better than I did. :D My friend has never had a problem with them though, but he has only bought guitars. I never had problems anywhere else so I just didn't try again. It doesn't cost you anything returning it, but its a hassle to get defective gear. If you get another one good luck.
 
I want to see if Santiall replies again before I call MF.
 
Are all your cables good and properly plugged in and no effects units of any kind? Guitar?

yes...no effects...straight into the amp with cables I use live. If the cable was bad, why would only 2 channels seem to work fine (or at least I think they're working fine since I've never heard this amp before)?
