Rant: Ever feel like beating the shit out of a co worker?

I got some guy thats been where I work forever. He's more senior than me. Infact he's going to retire within a year. Anyways he's always getting his "digs" in on me when I can. He's a wise ass. Professionally we a different people. I think he's a pussy and he thinks I'm to agressive with doing the job. Tonight he called me out infront of everybody over a mistake I made earlier in the week. I almost pulled my car over the side of the highway, wait for him to pass, follow him home and beat his ass until there was no more skin on my knuckles. But I'm married with a kid on the way.If I snatch him up at work I'll lose my job. If I kick the shit out of him outside of work I'll lose my job at the very least. The guy got the best of me because I'm pissed and there nothing I can do. Any retribution will result in me getting the worst of things. What to do?

Smear some dog poop on the inside of his car door handle. what's the first thing most people do when they get some unknown substance on their hands? Smell it! :lol: Even better... you could use your own. :cool: So juvenile.... yet so fun!
 
Show your charcter by letting the cream rise to the top. You proving what he says and does not effecting you will frustrate him. Take the high road always. Playing his game makes you just like him....

He's like 65. If I tear into him he'll die and I don't need that but I would like to smack the piss out of him. Again because of his age if I do anything to him physically I'll look like the bad guy. But the son of a bitch deserves to have his ass handed to him. Maybe when he's in a place where no one can see I'll grab him by the collar, swing him close to the ground and just hold him like that until I feel like letting him up. Nice little reality check without any bruses, bumps or scars.
 
Can`t really help with your situation, but I definately have a co worker that fits the bill. He is the first person I have ever wanted to actually cause physical harm to. Just a completely smug bastard that I can`t stand (the kind of guy who asks a question that he already knows the answer to just so he can display his knowledge and/or make you look stupid).
So, I can relate, but don`t really have a good solution :(

Dude there's a guy where I work who is in his 60's, but physically he's still pretty fit so I wouldn't feel so bad going off on him.

He's one of those guys who knows everything. Did 10 years in prison for selling coke, and that's where he learned everything. I've been at this job for almost twice as long as him.. but he thinks he knows way more than me when he doesn't do half of the stuff I do there.

Most of the people at work don't like him much. A few weeks ago he started it on the wrong guy and almost got his ass handed to him.

Ultimately it's a lose/lose situation. If you don't do anything.. you have to put up with him. If you do something about him you'll lose your job.

Just think of the wife and kid and hope he croaks soon!

Nah, No need for violence. If you feel the need to get back at him Just embarass him in front of people like he tries to do to you. Never go after him but wait until he attacks you and dig back. Use your head. Had he ever said anything to bust on me, I would have verbally turned it around. been there done that. Being that the guy is 65, The good old viagra jokes can come in handy ;)

One way to stop anyone from ribbing on you publically is to make the situation uncomfortable for him and everyone around at the time. If he tries it again, stop him in mid sentance and ask him why he always has to be a dick to you...ask him ...Do you enjoy trying to belittle me in front of people. Does it make you feel good? Odds are people will be surprised and so will he.

Yeah that does work pretty decent.

I did something similar to the guy who was ribbing us younger guys.. Flipped it around and had everyone laugh at him.. Put him in something he couldn't talk himself out of.. He shut up and walked off.

The other guy I mentioned jumped up about to kick his ass (he has a short temper). It scared the guy a bit and he kinda studdered about getting his son.. My friend said something of 'Yeah well you do that I don't care" with a few more words..and that he would meet him in the parking lot after work.

The old guy was like "Y.. You bett..er not meet me in the parking lot." He's avoided him for the past few weeks.

That would be assault of course but his word against yours...as long as there are no scrapes. I did that once and barely got away with it. The cops knew I did it and just told me to be careful because if anyone else saw it..I would have taken a ride downtown. Some street panhandler pissing in my garbage cans and he calls the cops on me for throwing him down after catching him.

Then say, I rest my case.... You are a bigger dick then I thought you were. The point I’m making is that there is ALWAYS a way to turn something around.

I had a guy at work always try to volunteer my time at work. He would tell my supervisor...oh Ralph will come in on the weekend. I let it slide once and politely pulled him aside and asked him to ask me first before he went ahead and volunteered my time. We were all in a meeting with the owner of the company and he decided to get Brownie points and said "Ralph will come in over the weekendâ€
 
I think i'll just start calling him Gerry... short for geriatric.
 
I second the visine in the coffee.


Also take some pliers and yank his valve stems out.
 
It is honestly not worth it man. Like Ralph said, find a way to turn it around. You're a corrections officer right?
