I just read this yesterday....Thanks for the links. I had his soundclick page bookmarked. My favorite clip is the straight plexi doing Atomic Punk....Sounds fab!!!
 
its not my amp nor is it me playing,one of the guys from the metroamp forum but it shows the weber pre rola greenback clones speakers sounds like!!
 
Great sounding speaker!

As far as VH tones go, Ralles clips still reign supreme. His clips are the shiznit.

i agree about ralle's clips. the 100 watts factor...the big deep shoulders tone...the sweet old singing 4x12 cab resonance...and that splintering/falling apart glowing tube factor is so sick on ralle's tone...but i can't help but wonder if he used these speakers, if it would get a few steps closer to ultimate sickness.

i hear a slightly clearer presence on these speaker clips that has me wondering...

How do those webers sound at low volumes? Cuz I hated the reissue greenbacks, especially at low volumes.
 
they sound great at low volumes to my ears.very warm yet detailed in the highs!!awsome speakers!
 
I was going to order one, but was wondering how to put the british style 4 hole basket? I don't see an option for it? :confused:

I am gonna order one probably tuesday when I find out the stutus of my car. I just want another option to recording and think it will mix well with my other Eminence in the VHT. Ted said it should mix well.
 
Just ordered and paid for mine today....should have it in about 2 weeks. Throwin one of these bitches in my VHT 2x12. I can't wait. Hope it sounds better than the Reissue greenies. I didn't care for those.

If you like old greenbacks then you will love these. The re-issues aren't bad but they sound nothing like an original. They are way more wooly sounding then the originals.

Sweet! Cuz my buddy has a old Marshall cab(mid70s) that sounds incredible!!!!! But when I tried the reissue(chinese) greenbacks, even broke in ones, they sounded nothing like them. Like shit actually! :doh:
