Losing my guitar room

Clearing it out to make room for our daughter who is due on June 1. Now that I have me and the wifes bedroom all cluttered I almost wish I had a combo amp. Hey you do the best with what you got right.

By the way the JVM is still killing!
 
I am in the unfinished part of the basement with the furnace and cat box..........join the club man :cry:
 
:thumbsup: Very cold basement dweller here as well. It never got above 60 degrees all winter, but I never missed a day of jamming.
 
I'm in the basement, but I'm fine with that, I pretty much live down here. :thumbsup:
 
Me too. But I insulated last year and now my amp gives off enough heat to keep it warm.

Word of warning to you basement dwellers. I played in a band that was set up in the basement and found that after about 9 months I had to have my amp worked on and cleaned up by a tech. There was a lot of corrosion due to the dampness of the basement.

Recently, I let someone use a couple of my guitars for awhile and when I got them back the frets and strings were RUSTED. The hardware and finger board also had to be cleaned up...the guy used them down in his basement.

Make sure it's dry fellas...!!! :eek: :eek: :eek:

It sounds like you need to get into a bigger house, and QUICK!!!!
 
I am in the unfinished basement, its like a dungeon down there but its really cool in the hot weather though, plus I have tons of room for all my junk.

Used in a sentence: So I was out with the guys having some beers, which I told my girlfriend about about two weeks ago. She had asked me to come out for drinks with another couple earlier in the day, but I of course reminded her I already had plans. Regardless, when I got home she was waiting up and gave me full stank-eye as soon as I came in the door.

+1, I have a dehumidifier running 365 days a year down here.
 
Yeah, you're losing your guitar room. But think of all the poop-filled diapers and sleepless nights that you are gaining. See, it's about the balance...

hahaha..baby poo makes you re-evaluate the cosmic rules of karma..."wtf did I do that was so wrong to deserve 20% of conversation being about shit and half the time spent cleaning it up..." hahahhah

Two daughters here and loving it....I barely get chance to play guitar but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

You're killing me :D Actually me and the wifes bedroom allows for more volume since it's a little bigger.

Same here in the summer and a humidifier in the winter. My basement says a constant 50-55% humidity. Wouldn't keep my gear any other way.
 
I got displaced with each child...
I'm downstairs in the basement. It's short on ambience, but it's dry and I can crank the amps pretty loud and man... I can watch porn with impunity!
