The question wasn't if it sounded like them, but if it has the same level of gain. I don't exepect KsE/LoG tone from it, mostly because they both use 6L6 tubes, I just wanted to know if I could get that level of gain.

We only demonstrated 75-80% of the total available gain on tap so there is still more gain on available that we did not demonstrate. To answer your question, yes you can play metal with a Voodoo Modified ADA MP-1 and over half of our customers play Metal. We are putting the finishing touches on a Pro Tools studio in the back portion of our facility so that we can record sound clips more often. If you have any other questions at all please feel free to email me directly (trace@voodooamps.com) or call the shop any time from Mon-Fri (9AM-5PM EST).

Have a great day! :)

Thank you fine sir, I'll be keeping this in mind for the near future.

I should be have some clips of my 3.666 MP-1 soon!

I don't have a copy of the tracks yet...tomorrow at the earliest.

I just picked one of these up yesterday. Its quite noisy, but that could be a number of factors not the least of which are the 70's headphones I am using. I changed the tubes and it sounded alot better!

what tubes you put in it?

Just replaced the old 12AX7 with EH 12AX7's sounded alot better. Also today I played it with computer off and buzz/hum was reduced even more. Changed headphones from crazy 70's ones dad owns to mine with stereo jack connected and improved it even mroe!

Do the mod called "Noise Mod" it replaces old filter caps, Op-amps and couple of small things here and there. it helps the unit quiet a bit with noise reducation.

cheers
