this guy has serious chops. I really don't know jack about him, but he play like a mofo.

the really fast and incredible chops don't usually appeal to me other than the obvious wow factor, but the smokes, plain and simple.

Jimmy Herring is a true pro and one of the best out there today, bar none.--Many years ago I saw him at a small club down here playing with Derek Trucks, with Dereks band--the guy cooked all night. It was way before Derek got himself a name.

Great video, thanks. Jimmy Herring has been around forever. Great player.

I had never heard of him till a few years ago .. He sat in on one of the Les Claypool shows that made it to a DVD .

I had no idea who the cat was ... came out with a PRS and just lit the whole place on fire for about 10 minutes .

after some research ... I grabbed a few of the " Jazz is Dead " discs . Very laid back stuff . Not a lot of ripping on it but just soild friggin playing .

good to have around to throw my ears a curveball now and then .
