I have a VH4 and am happy with the amp but I am very unhappy with the tolex job on it. I noticed the back wrap around seems and flaps are coming off the head shell....

Anybody else have any issues like this and what can be done to fix it the right way? I have never had to deal with this type of issue before. The amp hasn't been anywhere but my jam room, moved much or abused in any way nor has it been been around any heat to make the tolex want to raise up.

Thanks in advance for any help and again, not down on Diezel stuff as I am about to own my third Diezel amp.

Hey,

I had the same problem and Uwe sent me a new headshell. Send him an email and he will ship you a new headshell. Youll have to drill holes and install both grilles though which is a bit of a pain.

Thanks a lot. I really appreciate it. Glad to know I am not the only one with this problem and that they resolved the issue.

I have the same problem on my practically brand new VH4 :aww: I guess the heat of the amp alter the glue on the backside, just above the metal grill (and the tubes). Don't know how could I solve the problem before I play a 'nude' VH4... Peter, please help !

Talk to Uwe.....this is happening on my Herbert as well. The Einstein is fine so far but the tolex has been an issue for me with Diezel.

Well, I'm in Europe, but thanks. I guess Peter is at the Messe... :D

Second mail sent to the Diezel support. Still no answer. Is the support dead ? Have I to use my 3 € glue to fix my 3k amp ? Open a new thread ?

I will be honest here...I ahve been disappointed in the accesability of anybody for help. Once I get hold of somebody, they are pretty good but getting somebody to answer the phone is entirely another issue.

Hello,
I really apologise for the lack of comunication on my side to everybody who tried to reach me during the last 10 days. There have been 2 reasons: 1st. I got a slipped disk wich literally knocked me out at April 15th. I was in hospital, unable to move or go outside and check my e-mails. I´m now back in the office and there are shit loads of e-mail that I have to reply to. This is an extraordinary situation and believe me, I´m working day and night to straighten out all the issues.
Please be patient this time, I do my very best to get back to normal.

2nd. reason. Diezel will have a new cabinet factory in Germany.
Regarding your problem with the glue: we´ll certainly replace the enclosure against one that is made in the new factory with a customized glue. Please give me a little time window to set up the machineries and electricity in the new hall. The CNC arrived yesterday (3 tonns of pure metal!)

I apologise for any inconvenience, my slipped disk was not part of the plan
Best regards

Peter

Hi Peter,
I'm absolutely sorry for you, and please take your time : my tolex is not an emergency issue ;)
I was just surprised by the lack of answer, now I have an explanation, I can wait a looong time lol

Get well soon. You shouldn't lift 3 ton CNC routers by yourself! ;)

Does a new diezel cabinet factory mean the cabs will get cheaper in europe since they don't need to get shipped all the way from the US? I'd like a matching diezel cab, but I can't afford them at the moment (like most US made cabs, they seem about an average of £300 more)...

Will they be the same as current models or are they being changed?

Is it going to make Lucy bass cabs too? :D

Yeah, I'd be interested to know a little bit more about the cabs myself.

-Nick

You bastards :D

We have to check out and learn about the machine.
It will take minimum 3 months to run a production.
And You ask now for more information ..........

:gethim: :gethim: :gethim:

I will answer Your questions as soon as possible.

;)

I have been in communication with Peter S. and he has been very gracious regarding our discussions. I have full confidence that everything we have discussed will be resolved as quickly as possible. Get better Peter.

How are you recovering? that's quite serious sounding, I hope you make a very speedy recovery, don't put your back at further risk working if it's still bad and you can avoid it.
