Check this shit out.....

Go to the "Waves RK100" link in the soundbar. Guthrie Govan playing the Cornford RK100 (Ritchie Kotzen model) Jesus H. Christ...chops to spare and that amp sounds freaking insane.

My JVM cleansing will commence this week, this doesn't sound like a bad place to jump back in the water ;)

Just found these too...pretty staggering range of tones. These amps are killer.

The guitar teacher at my store has a Cornford MK50H and that thing sounds absolutely killer. I love that amp.

I'm floored by these clips...one of these could help me forget I sold my Cameron to J.B. (shoots self in foot  )

Sounds like a new line for Squid Music to pick up ;)

Cornford amps really are superb. The Mk50H also being my favourite. They are actually pretty reasonably prices over here in the UK too :D

Shame im absolutely flat out broke...

I've looked at those a few times - wouldn't mind checking out one of their low watt combos. THere's a 20W Hurricane on the bay right now.

I'm pretty sure that Guthrie could make anything sound phenomenal - he's ridiculously good.

^ the hurricane is just awesome. i've only tried it and the hellcat (didn't like the hellcat as much, but that was a year previously and i was still a bit of a noob back then etc.)

Check out the Scirocco Storm clip on that site....I spent a little time trying to cop that lick last year - then gave up.....

His MK50 stereo rig at NAMM with the new Eventide delay pedal was freaking sick  Very tasty player as well.

Ah Steve-son, I have always liked the RK but it has a voicing some like and some do not. I dig it myself.

The RK has always been one Id like to check out sometime. That said its a bit pricey for a one channel amp with a boost funstion but if sounds really good and fits your needs it could be worth the price of admission.

I agree... Guthrie makes that amp sound so sweet but IM sure he could make just about anything sound good.

Someone figure out that Scirocco Storm lick for me - my feeble ears and short attention span wouldn't let that happen...but now that I've listened to it again...

I wish I had Cornford. The MK II is the most versatile amp and Guthrie uses that the most these days. Alot of guys are putting in El34s in them and liking them better than stock tubes. This would be the one to get If you can afford it. You might be able to get them to make a 100 watt version....

On a side note I talked to Trace at Voodoo and he said will mod the JVM depth control and clear up the gain channel so I might get another JVM and send it to him.

If he could fix mine so it was quiet - I'd send it to him today!!! I got some improvement from swapping all the preamp tubes with TungSols...but now one seems to be bad...and I've been too lazy to open it back up and swap them out individually to see which one it is. The upside is...now it's actually quiet...and a good bedroom practice amp....

Those clips sound killer :D

But... Guthrie would sound killer through just about any amp IMO. So tough to attribute too much to the cornford though I'm sure it is a great amp, I'd love to try one.

my dear god that song is amazing, his tone is sick too, damn I love guthries playing

Guthrie came by my house last week and plugged into a blueberry muffin into a dishwasher and sounded amazing...:D:D:D:D:D

Was the dishwasher an EL34 or 5881 version? That would make a difference....
