Hi there, My name is Mike this is my first post so I hope i get it right:) At the moment I am using 3 amps to get my sound but I would like to cut it back to one, Hopefuly the vh4s if poss.

I am running a reissue jtm45 with a mesa dual rec and a hughes and kettner duotone one throgh a marshall anniversary cab and the other two splitting throgh a road king mesa twin cab. using 3 mics live to get the sound i want but i am not happy with the practical side of doing this. This is why I an hopeing the vh4s can sort it out.
I hope to run it through the mesa twin in stereo and mic the celestion c90 at the rear and front and the v30 at the front alone providing me with the same 3 mic set up but with 3 destintive sounds. One problem I cant get a diezel in New Zealand and our power rating is 240v and I dont want to get the annoying power converter that is unreliable and also some electrician trying to convert the power and wreaking my amp that has traveled around the world!

Will deizel supply this amp to new zealand and change the power rating for me. As far as I know there is only 1 deizel amp in New Zealand and I am really keen to get one down here :)

I measured 237 the other night in Brussels, 3 weeks ago I've seen 225.

I liked the sound better with 237 :D

235 at home, 220 in the rehearsal bunker. Herbert likes both, although he prefers to eat 235 :D

Olaf have you ever thought investing on a power attenuator LOL!!!

240Volts there we're a upgrade(erhöhung)

Thanks everyone for your input. I didnt realize that power differed so much, I learnt today when I went into the studio that they have the same prob. To answer your question we play alternative rock and its a 3 piece band. I have been using the 3 amps live to get a big (huge!) sound. I like the tones of adam jones guitar and also the clarity and definition. We are a mixeture of tool, nirvana and muse all mixed up if that helps. Very guitar driven fiffs but I need to have clarity and a lot of mid range :D

With the vh4s i was wondering if channel 3&4 could be run at the same time so I could have a stereo signal of two different tones, If not this would be an awesome mod to have.

The power amp in (return) is stereo not the preamp out!

In my humblest of opinions, when you're spending large amounts of money on the best amps you should be protecting your investment with a power conditioner. You really shouldn't trust the electrical power in clubs, rehearsal studios, etc...
