Hi,

ever since i had the pleasure to listen to the Schmidt prototype i'm desparately waiting for it to be available in stores.
Any news about it? Like Specs or when it will be in stores?

Thanks
Firebird

I assume it will be available in fall.
Just about to tweak the latest version:

30 Watt class A EL34
2 channel with boost option
tube buffered spring reverb
serial and parallel loop

Peter

Thanks a lot for Info Peter  , although i hate waiting till fall to get one  ;)

Anyway, will the boost option be a second master volume or a gain boost?

Thanks again
Firebird

I work on it every day after business time.
The plan is to come out in September.

Clips please Peter !!! :D

What will it be voiced like? Which Diezel is it closest to? Channels?fetaures?
Thanks,
Rick

Will it be able to take different tubes like the Einstein? 6L6? Maybe even 6V6?

Would the schmidt will have a point to point construction? I Can' t wait to hear it.

This is only a guess, but I am guessing that the wiring will be similar to the other Diezels, and not p-t-p. The super high quality of Peter's designs for circuit boards should be just fine in this amp, as it is in all of his creations.
I would guess that the sound is possibly not as high gain as the other Diezels, but still ferrocious and singing. 30 watts of Diezel power should just crush all other amps in the 30 watt range.
As I stated, this is only a guess, based on the information Peter has given, and past experience with other Diezel amps.

Point to Point sucks cuz they all sound different. As long as Peter does a very good board layout it'll sound just as good, and they'll ALL sound good, rather than having a lottery as to whether you get a "good" one.

Exactly with PCB you have standardized production, the best answer to this subject lies printed within the PCB of a VHT Deliverance head...

Does anyone has information about the second channel ? Will it be a crunch or something similar to the lead channel of the Herbert ?

I'm looking for a 30W tube amp with a high-gain second channel. I was going to order a Brunetti Maranello but I just learnt Diezel was working on the Schmidt... And having a Diezel amp is my dream lol !

Second channel with boost option has about the gain amount
of channel 2 on the Herbert and channel 3 on the VH4.
