I wonder what's happened? The change to MXR distortion?

Plus TV show's hardly ever make heavy rock/metal bands sound good, cos it's ususally not the band's soundguy working the TV mix.

Its too bad Zakk's tone sucks ass now :(

http://youtube.com/watch?v=2xqsIpA8mac&mode=related&search=

sounds too processed

usually the sound on Jimmy Kimmel's shows sound really good for heavy bands (Lacuna Coil and Slayer sounded awesome).

I must say though that I think "I don't wanna stop" sucks on the radio but I like the way it comes over live alot better.

zakk uses a old 800 and his sig when playing live, i believe

Too much chorus on that vid too

thanks - No, a good friend of mine did the ''jose''

Very cool! What are the features on the amp? Still all stock controls or any extra bits or switches? Hows it sound?

I like his old sound more but on its own the budokan show is good. Its very huge!

i was there and the saddest thing was seeing two of my heroes pretend to perform Crazy Train. Ozzy used a backing track and zakk wasnt really playing guitar.

and if you listen closely you can hear that ozzy gets off time with his backing track on "I don't wanna stop" around the 2nd verse.

i know have a resonance knob on the back as well as a tube fx loop - plus as much gain as i want - Cool thing is, even though it has more gain than any amp, ive ever played, it still cleans up when i roll off the volume on my guitar.

i thought zakk made all his own gear...that's why it has bullseyes and zakk wylde written all over it...right? :D

Thats great, and exactly why i love my Cameron modded JMP! I can get cleans by rolling back the volume, even when my amp is set for high gain!

Was there any extra preamp tubes added for the gainstages?

yeah, I have 1 extra pre amp tube - the amp tone freaks people out!

anyone know which chorus he used @ Budokan?

according to blacklabelsociety.net it would be the CE-5.

Are the CH-1 and CE-5 pretty similiar? i love his chorus sound for live n loud and budokan

That is definitly the CE-5 on the Budokan show, i have the CE-5 and also an SD-1 and a JCM800.. when i plugged it in the way Zakk does, it sounded identical!
