Anyone here tried both? I have had the Komet, but have not tried the Concorde..

The Concorde has definitely peaked my interest as well. From the clips I've heard, it seems to be more on the edge than the Komet and the Connie. I've yet to try any of them....just might have to do something about that.

Since we're quite the Enabler Team, I'll help you out here...

First, response to this question already once asked about K60 vs. Concorde at TGP:

Some of the differences:

Komet 60 can use many different tubes...Concorde designed around the EL34
Komet 60 is 60 watts...Concorde is 50
Komet 60 has more clean headroom
Komet 60 has tube rectifier...Concorde is solid state rectifier

Both amps have phenomenal touch sensitivity and dynamics
Both amps have an overdrive tone to die for
Both amps have stellar cleans
Both amps clean up with the twist of the guitar volume knob
Both amps have stellar build quality
Both amps will put a permanent smile on your face
Concorde breaks up sooner

The guy from Ultrasound in New York said that the Concorde was more of a straight up rock amp, and a little more suited to lead playing, and that the K60 was more versatile.

The Concorde sounds and is a more aggressive amp partly because of the solid state rectifier.

The obligatory clips:

Now, I know people out there will scoff at both the clips and the price tag associated with these amps - but having played yours extensively (several hours worth at Tims, multiple times...) I will say that is one of the few amps that really made a huge impression on me. The K60 was like the uber badass Marshall from hell, drool worthy tones. The Concorde is supposed to be the next level above that. We both know that these are not bedroom or even living room amps (maybe your living room) and that volume is a part of the puzzle. Hot Plate is a must.

Funny, great minds do think alike ;) I was a hair from making the Komet happen yesterday but the Cornford is a little too killer to send to its next stop....yet :D

Man me too. I almost pulled the trigger on a K60 . I loved that amp when I had one a while back, but the Concorde may be more up my alley. Have had a chance to play one? Have you tried the K60?

Nope, i've never even a Komet in person. I have a feeling JB will have zero Camerons soon with his big huge man gas.
