Is it a LP, SG, superstrat, tele? I have quite a few guitars but none of them really knock my socks off anymore. I was playing a friends acoustic today at work and it just resonated like crazy and I couldn't put it down.

What guitar does this for you? Lets see some pics! Daddy's going shopping soon LOL.

It depends on the whole set-up...if the guitar doesnt match the amp etc...it is the sound that inspires me to create...and different guitars and amps inspire different approaches.

Whatever guitar I have in transit at the moment. :P :D

But really, I would say Caparison TAT's or a nice Fender Strat with a Floyd. I'm really excited to play the Schenker V I have on the way too.

This is no joke -Steve Perry's voice- guitars mean nothing to me- you can make them play or use them as boat oars........

currently this one.
My Carvin DC727C. Plays like a dream. I've got a set of Bareknuckle pick ups and an OFR going on there next week. she's a keeper
I love playing a 7, it makes me look at the fret board with a different perspective.

Too bad you dont have those Code

It depends really what I am doing and playing...for heavy rhythms and light leads I love my Hamer due to the tone that it has.

For screwing around with the low stuff and trying to dance on the board my 1527 does it for me.

For that upper mid sizzle my maple GMW.

Now that I have found my guitar collection I use them as a tone and feel palette.

Not the answer you wanted though huh??? :D

MusicMan Petrucci is the best guitar I have ever owned after 2 PRS custom 24s and a few Les Pauls and Explorers, Kramers, Jackson. My Zakk Wylde Epiphone is really sexy. Just needs some classic '57 pups and good tuners and it will be as good as any Gibson I have ever owned. Both the Zakk and Petrucci are pure sex shred machines.

The Ibanez guitars are J-Customs. You can search Ikebe-Gakki's site for 'em. They cost like $1800 though. :( Some are more expensive as well (the quilted ones for example - and you can barely even see the quilt!!!!). I wish Suhr and/or Anderson would make a 7 string though. :( Anderson used to, and Suhr refuses to due to tooling. I won't say the Ibanez guitars are the best quality 7 strings out there, but those J-Customs are pretty damn good. The JP7s are also very great guitars.

I'm actually building a custom project similar to this one... Gettin' a new birdseye neck with the vine inlay since the one I have has twisting problems that can't be fixed...
