Looks like some woman has all there balls in her purse.

Saw them on The View this morning clearly pandering to CM. The songs were lifless.

Also, Sambora was playing the RT amp of the month - 2 JVMs. The JVMs sounded like shit, just like I experienced when I test drove it.

big money in the country stuff ..

I like Sambora's playing ... I don't care what he uses

yeah, some of the songs pretty much blow...but there are a few that are good IMO. This album is kind of an in-between album...meaning it's filler between their last real album and the next.

He played the JVMs on the today show yesterday too but I never judge guitar sound mixed for those morning tv shows. Those sound guys don't have the right experience with live music for the most part. My JVM sounds alot better than his did.

and as griff said, they'll make a killing with the country style stuff. No matter what anyone says, it's business first.

well IMO ... if there was a band in the last 20 years ( left from the 80's ) that could cross over to the " country " side of things it would be them .

alot of Acoustic material ... Jon's voice fits the bill perfectly ...

and some of the country stuff I have heard lately ( which ain't much ) sounds alot like regular rock to me .. but with the hokey dokey singing ..
couple of songs I heard ... there was smoking guitar on it ..

I would probably give it more of a chance but I can't get by the :

" my baby left me , I've worked hard all day , hangin with the boys , driving down to the creek " friggin lyrics and vocals

...when the Country market started to be more viable in terms of product ad merchandise sales.
It ain't rocket surgery...

Lets see here, with my Fusion Jam Band I make gas money at best. With the Country band I make a minimum of 200 bucks a night.
Fusion band attendance...10-50 people.
Country band 300-2000 depending on venue. Not counting opening gigs for nat'l Country acts in stadiums.

Speaking of balls in a purse, isn't The View a woman's show? ;)

Dude, in 55 tunes in the Country bands set-list one is what I'd call Country. The rest is 80s stuff with the vocalist 3 octaves lower with a Sounthern accent. Plus there are like 4 tunes where the bottom string is down to C#, one down to C and one down to B.
Sure ain't what I think of when I think Country.

There are more country radio stations than almost all other music types combined...that is definitely were the money is now.

Yeah, I think the more accurate question is...

'when did Country Music all start to sound like Bon-Jovi?'

When the 80s LA studio guys ran out of work in LA and moved to Nashville? :)

funny you say that ... the music reminds me alot of 80's material . I can't honestly form a great opinion I've only listened ( watched ) a few videos here and there on the CM cable channel . I do like alot of the music ... I just laugh at the lyrics and some of the vocals .. and this is coming from a guy that loves Primus
