If so, what model do you have? How do you like it? Pros/cons?

I have a semi-endorsement with them and want to get one mainly for the house but also the occasional gig.

i used to have the satin version of the d-28. played great and sounded great.

I have a 1933 Martin 0-17. Amazing guitar.

Flash forward 74 years, the new stuff is pretty cool too. I generally like their smaller bodied stuff

I used to have a d-1 and it was nice but nothing to get excited about. Then I got a d-35 and it was a great guitar, but my fav is the hd28, I really liked that guitar and the clapton model.

I have a DC-1E that I love. I liked it better than the the similar Taylor model, it just played better and I prefer the Martin sound. Mine is a cutaway with a pickup, nice all around acoustic.

I would like to get a D-16, D-28 or HD-28 at some point. The D-16 being the most budget of those choices.

I'll probably go for a lower end model...since it'll mainly be used in the house.

Been a Martin guy since 1967 when I got my first 1927 0-18K for around 100 bucks, next was a D-28 the a D-28S the a D-18 (1968) and a new D-15. I still have the D-18 and my kids have the 15 and the 28S. That being said, go for as old a D-18 as you can afford. Great tone and usually cheaped than the rosewood Martins.

Well, I'd be getting new stock since this will be coming directly from Martin.

Look st the D-18V I think thats there copy of the prewar D-18. Kinda costly but should do the trick.

I checked it out...my budget is well below that. It's only for a kick around house guitar mainly.

Yes I am a Martin owner, but........my first good acoustic was an 88 Martin Shenendoah. Probably not what you would be wanting to play. I like their stuff, but have never upgraded to a better Martin. I play a Taylor now.

I had an Eric Clapton signature model. It was very nice. I like the HD-28 model the best I think. I also very much love my Little Martin.

The D-15 we have is real nice for the money and very well made. Try to get a solid wood Martin no matter what. I think the 15 are going for under 1K. I love my 68 D-18 and get compliments every time I play it out in the public. What is your budget?

like I said, it's a partial endorsement. I have to see what I can get first. That'll determine my budget.

If they don't say solid wood than it is plywood which is no good for tone. Better off saving up for the solid wood top back and sides. The solid wood Martins will age better than the laminates. My D-15 is in that range but all solid top and sides so it has aged even in the four years I have had it. The laminates won't do that. The choice is yours but you did ask.

I appreciate your input. What do you think of this?
