OT: Anyone Anywhere Still Interested in 6100s???

Hey,
Just checking... I've put them on the block a couple of times and didn't have many bites and stuff.

Had to check.
 
I dunno man, every marshall I look at lately has a HUGE ass price tag attached to it :lol: Kinda keeps me away from them.
 
You're definitely right man, and now, it's by far not the only 3-ch Marshall anymore. I guess I just have a case of wrong-place-wrong-time... I was using my main one a lot and got one for a road backup. Which, I don't need the extra anymore and would like to add more variety to my collection. But, it's seeming harder than I expected a while back. :)

Oh well, it's all good.
 
Id love one, on paper they sound perfect for my needs. Never seen one to play though!

I remember Sick Michael had some great clips of his old 6100 back in the old HC days, sounded good, but then he is one helluva guit-fiddler!


EDIT: Have you tried posting it for trade at the Marshall Amp Forum?

Sick Mike's the reason I have these babies, bro. :D Very good point, his clips were beyond killer with them.

I haven't tried the Marshall boards yet, I need to sometime. If you think you might be up for one sometime, hit me up and I'll make you a fair deal on one.

EDIT: Just saw you're a UK resident... and prolly wouldn't want to deal with the shipping. I'm moving over there eventually, if I do so with a company, I'll drag it over on their bill and it's yours. :D
 
i think adrian smith uses the 6100's. How much are you selling it for?
 
is it the brass chassis version ??

I'll check on shipping guys... I'll leave the options up to you if you want it, but as of late, I've been going to this one shipping place that will cut custom double-walled boxes. It's not super cheap, but they're sturdy. Also, I'll check what I've got at home to maybe ship it in.

For the 6100LM 6L6GC, I'm thinking $800+shipping since it could use some tubes. I don't have any other 6L6s lying around, or I'd put them in.

Sound fair?

Nah, it's not the uber-rare version, it's a year-after black tolex version.
 
I'd say the JVM p0wned the 6100LM....what I always wanted on the 6100 was two channels of channel 2..since the lead channel always sounded meh to me but the 3 voicing options of ch 2 were :eek: :thumbsup:

That said, I'd assume the price difference with the JVM would mean you could still sell a 6100LM for about $800 easy

That's what I was thinking... I saw it at Winter NAMM and the JVM is what I wanted out of the 6100. But, my tastes have changed a good deal since that time. I'm more into 1ch and a few options vs a lot of channels and allotta options. I'll still use my Voodoo-modded 6100 for things; the clean channel went from really good for a channel switcher to REALLY freakin' good for a channel switcher... actually used it over my 65 Showman and Carr Slant 6V on some things and the modded ch2 is unreal for layering with some other amps for rock rhythm tracks. But, I don't so much use it live, so I'm not needing a backup anymore.

And like you said, I hope at like half the price, the 6100 will still find a good home somewhere.
 
One last check... I got a box at home it can go out in, I double-checked.

Hasn't took off yet... just tried to take a day or so to see what I could liquidate before I bought it out-right. But, today's payday, I just forgot until typing this post... Makes the whole idea a LOT more bearable. :D So, in that case, should be landing sometime next week/weekend I'd guess.
