suggest me a high gain 1x12..

This is all I want
a sturdy, kickass sounding, non farty 1x12 combo with 2 completely independent, footswitchable channels (clean, dirty) that doesn't necessarily need to be cranked for decent tones. Around $700. Light weight would be nice! Minus the rectoverb (already tried it, not my thang)
 
The MKIII is a great head but i never got to play the combo!

Can you get a DSL combo or TSL for around $700? Maybe thats worth looking into?

Or the Laney combos are meant to rock too! Laneys are usually pretty affordable!
 
do the mark IIIs have indepdent EQ for the clean/dirty, and are they footswitchable?? The last mark III I played had a shared EQ..

Why would one amp have a shared EQ and the other not, if they're the same model? :confused:
 
At $700 you might have a tough time. You can find 5150 2x12 combos as well as DSL 401 pretty regular. Maybe a Fender Prosonic?

You might consider a Traynor YCV40 blue and pedal in front.
 
Many will disagree with me but...........I had a Peavey XXX 1x12 that swapped a few pre-amp tubes and loaded it with EL34's and I really loved it. I liked it much more than the Mesa F-30 and Traynor YCV Blue.

i love my xxx combo. i swapped mine out with e34L's. i'm not sure what engle screamer combos go for, but i've always wanted to try one.

Id suggest the Traynor YCV50 badass sounding 1x12 with independent clean and gain , and a footswitchable boost.
