I'm honestly pretty pumped about getting it. I've wanted an Anderson/Suhr type of guitar, so this is a nice price break at achieving that, plus I get to choose more options for less! :)

Here are the stats:

- C66 with Wilkinson in deep dragonburst on quilted maple with matching headstock
- Dunlop Strap locks
- C22B in bridge with twinblade in the neck and AP11 in the center (I'm really looking forward to this combination!) in zebra
- Chrome hardware
- Birdseye maple fingerboard with abalone dots

Total cost with shipping to Canada was $1356 USD.

I'm going to try to change the body wood to either walnut or mahogany (depending on what's available) and change the fretboard radius to 14".

If everything goes right, the colour should look like this:

These next weeks are going to suck. :(

Congrats bro, nothing like ordering a custom guitar the way you want it and Carvin has nice work

How thick is the maple cap?

awesome!

when you get it, be sure and give us a good review of it with some cool pics

you have any intention of swapping pickups? I've personally never liked Carvin pickups, but in the guitars I've owned of theirs have been great.

Didn't know they would put a twin bade in the neck. Is this new?

Keep in mind that's a different style of guitar, the one I'm getting is more along an Anderson Drop Top, so I think the cap is only about 1/8"

Oh, you can be sure to expect pictures! I intend to be a camwhore of the highest degree with it! :D

I may or may not switch the pickups, depending on how I feel about them. Chances are I'll only switch out the bridge if I happen to be uncomfortable with it.

thats an awesome finish

I was kind of aiming at this type of finish:

...but was told that they weren't really willing to do something like that. I'm fine with that, seeing as I know they're kind of busy this time of year and I'm also a first time customer. I'll be more than happy with this finish!

No idea. The guy I ordered with, Kevin, is known to let most of the weirder requests happen so that may be the reason. I originally wanted only a humbucker in the bridge and a twinblade in the neck, but since I couldn't get that I opted for this instead.

That finish is just tits. Carvin is pretty good about making your requests happen, I had very good luck when I got my TL60.

FWIW I didn't care for the c22 pickups that came stock, but the wiring in the cavity was so clean it was absolute cake to swap them out.

diggin the blue/green quilt you got going on there

FWIW, I'd have gone the way of a used Anderson for $1,650 or so. I had a C66, a Bolt +, and a Bolt. They weren't on the same level tonally.. I like the neck thru Carvins and the CT6 however. Look wise and build wise, the C66's are great though. In any case, congrats on the new guitar.
