Thats just the thing though... i doubt the clean channel sucks that bad to be honest. I think the clean could sound nice with lower output single coils. Thats one of the most common things that people forget about when demoing clean channels, the actual pickups in the guitar are a huge factor!

I pretty much ALWAYS use my singles with clean tones... I hate humbuckers/clean tones.

Yup i dont like humbucker clean tones, unless im going for a thick jazzy tone. For lush clean sounds, i like singles and also sometimes a compressor in front. Oh and some chorus/delay/verb too, im big into that 80s LA session clean sound :D :cool:
