Did you know that Kings X is considered a Christian music band??????
 
I've been listening to a lot of Pillar, Decypher Down, Skillet, Disciple, and Kutless lately. All of those bands ROCK!!

It's silly when you see the YouTube comments by the little kids complaining about being "tricked" into liking "Christian" bands. Good music is good music. Would you suddenly not like a great band if you found out its members were black, Jewish, hispanic, or whatever? Like I said, just plain silly.
 
I have played in Christian worship team bands for over 30 years. Some bands are "Chrisrian Bands" by defination and by the players faith etc. Others are bands that have christians in them and they don't consider themselves "Christian" bands in the same way. For some its a ministry for others its a vocation and they happen to be christians. I think Kings X is a band that has christians in it but doesn't consider the band a ministry type of a band. Same as anything else a christian can have a job as a roofer and not be considered a christian roofing company. I hope that makes sense.
 
I hope the kids do not find out that Dave Mustaine from Megadeth is Christian.

It is like anything on youtube, there will always be somebody to debate the opposite side. Usually these people do this in all that they do in life, to the point they debate one thing different the next day because they want to just disagree.

I am a Christian, and I am glad there are bands like those listed above to allow me to hear what I call good music with lyrics I like.

I hope the Christian kids dont find out that Doug Pinnick is a homosexual. I think that is frowned upon by the Christian community.

That is between him and God. You are right it is frowned upon, but all Christians have sinned, and all sin is equal to God.

Aside from the above, he is a good musician and was part of an excellent band.

Listening to rock is fine but worshipping satin. That's like putting on a head band and wearing bell bottoms, I don't think that's in style anymore not to mention it's just plain freaky. And further more why would you want to follow something that it's whole purpose is to deceive, destroy and deny what rightfully yours. When Jimi Hendrix was asked how does it feel to be the best guitar player in the world he replyed You would have to ask Phill Keaggy.

I'm taking away all your posts for spelling his first name wrong :lol:.

Also, Tom from Slayer claims to be Catholic. He says it's all an act and started out to turn heads, basically. There are people who actually believe they worship satan. I used to feel sorry for my friends who's parents used to take their albums away. Looking back at the past 15 years, the kids with the ultra conservative Christian parents turned out the worst.

i couldn't agree more. i live in and grew up in a small town with TONS of mormons and that seems to be the way it is 'round here.

on a side note..."in my opinion"...christianity is as stupid as satanism.

I am not talking about *in the eyes of GOD*. I am talking about what the Bible says and how the Christian community feel. He is indeed a great bass player and has a good voice. AND, is a nice person.

I think this is a statement made all over. And it is true to some extent. However it is so easily siad that those with parents like this turn out bad. The whole group I hung out with were like this, and we all turned out pretty good, overall. Of course good to one person may be considered bad to another.

As far as Christianity being stupid. That is your opinion as you stated. Mine is the opposite.
