No I would not. But the proof is in the pudding. Last fall I had a stroke which left some bad vessels way deep in my brain where they could not be touched. After the first cathscan I was real upset and thought my useful life was over as I knew it. I had the elders at church pray for me the day before my second test and they said in the name of Jesus the blood vessels were healed and there would be no sign of a problem. Next day I got the follow up MRI with enhancement. Results no problems back to work as if nothing had ever happened. No aliens in that one. I think its hard to understand unless you have experienced it for yourself. When I became a christian I didn't believe it and thought that maybe budda and Jesus were the same guy in a different time or something like that. But when I came face to face with Jesus there was no doubt, That was in 1973 and I know he is real. Still have faith but also have lots of tangible proof over the years.

glad you got better. but don't you see what you're doing? you tell me there's proof but you can't prove it. did anybody else see your jesus? ever heard of coincidence? ever heard of psychosis and hallucination?

how come you have no faith in man?

i know this might be hard for you to understand considering you went thru some serious shit, but maybe...just maybe, those doctors helped you and not the elders of the church. what if you had untied your left shoe and you had gotten better...would you worship your shoe? would you owe it your life? believe in what you want but don't sell yourself short by bowing down to an unseen spook in the sky.

The gospel of Jesus is more powerful than a wall or even a deaf ear. The gospel is very simple. Jesus died for our sins and he was raised from the dead to prove his victory over the ultimate scary most feared thing, death and what happens afterward. Don't be decieved by your own thinking but pray and he will reveal himself as savior and help all who cry out to him. I didn't believe for the first 23 years of my life and I had all the answers and played all the games in the end I cryed out to him and he answered me with salvation.

remind me to tell you about this time i ate mushrooms and saw god...it was amazing!

Well the doctors said that the vessel issue could not be operated on cause it was too deep in my brain so I was just on a very scary be careful, don't lift anything, go easy at work etc. I have no proof in the sense you want to see. It will take faith because without faith its impossible to please God. Funny thing how when we are strong we can deny and question God's reality but when we are in trouble we ask for prayer.

maybe you just cried and got over it. maybe you cried and your brain fixed itself. maybe you cried and your mind and body did what it was going to do anyway even if you hadn't cried. i was raised mormon in a very religious family...you say you didn't believe it and now you do. well, i believed in it for a long time and had to come to grips with the fact that i just couldn't believe in it anymore. i wasn't under any kind of duress or injury (as you obviously were) so there's no excuses. i just don't believe it...BUT, as i said earlier...i ain't against it either. believe what you want but don't sit here and tell me how fuk real it is. the burden of proof is on you and you'll lose that one everytime.

I ate mushrooms and had an experience also but I didn't see God. Don't let any man keep you from seeking out and knowing God's love. We really do fail to properly represent his love and truth. One thing I do know truth is not based on our understanding or lack of understanding it stands solid and perfect without need to be proven. The truth is Jesus is Lord. I was raised in a christian setting but never believed it until I was 23. I went from unbelief to belief. The burden of proof is really on the Lord himself and not me. Its like I can tell you there is a tiger in the next room but until you go in there and the tiger proves himself to you you won't believe. Ya gotta go in there.

The free will debate is the main reason why I don't and can't believe in God.

Free will and an all-powerful God are an oxymoron.

God knows what your decisions are before you make them. God knows what your decisions will be millions of years before you make them. He creates everything and knows everything, the definition of all-powerful.

And yet people tell you you have free will and will go to Hell if you make the wrong decisions.

God certainly isn't all-loving if he KNOWS you will reject him all the days of your life before he even creates you and STILL sends you to Hell.

well, nice talkin with ya. i gotta head to a bbq. have a nice 4th bill and mikey.

Why would god fix a human? Did someone not state that there's not to be any intervention between the two?

Did god create a broken being? Why?

Mikey--you are a good kid with a wonderful sense of humor and you are very bright--but please, out of respect for me and Bill--please capitalize the *G* in the word God. Thanks, buddy.

Same here--I had a long lapse of NONE believing. From about my mid 30s until a few years ago...

Cloudnine's logic, in this case, is right on the mark.

When you get up in the morning--look out your front door and you will see God everywhere; trees, grass, bugs, stray cats, the sky, clouds, the sun. They all came from *Big bang* right?
