I don't think this board needs these kind of "i can play better then you posts" i don't see it serving any purpose. I mean if you wanna bitch back and fourth that's your own thing. But really....last time i checked this is an AMPS fourm where people demo sound clips showcasing the tone of their current amp setup or demo samples of band clips with these amps in action. It's for getting feedback on "AMP tone". This is for people who can't try these amps out might get a better understanding for their tonal attributes. Or rather this is how i see this board......
This (to me) is not a "showcase your playing board".....there are plently of those out there with fantastic players. You can always post clips there along with others if you wanna dog on pleoples playing.
There no need to be slamming people because you think their playing is weak. Don't be slamming the younger dudes either, their learning and no doubt will be ripping on the guitar when their your age as well. This is actually one of the best boards out there in terms of no bitch fights and flamefests. I have met some awesome people on this board and i love browsing it everyday. These kind of posts how ever make me sick...

Like yesterday--EdD, whose playing is great (up there with my lover, Carl's) and I love the guy to death and have known him for 10 years on these boards, posted a clip I hated (playing was great though). I am supposed to say I loved it, and lie to be a conformist?

Yeah keep me out of it. Just cause I'm 57 that doesn't mean I'm done. Plus I have a young spirit, my mindset is more of a 17 year old than a 57 year old. I still surf and play out on a regular basis. Plus I have a young wife which gives me an automatic backdate of 10 years so I'm really only 47. If you factor in the surfing take off another 5 years and that makes me only 42. Factor in an active lifestyle take off another 2 so in reality I'm around 40 which is about the way I feel. Later

If they are such punk ass mofo's they wont have the money to buy recording equipment to record, thats my problem. But if impressing these punk ass mofo's is such a high priority then go for it man.

man, haven't I met dozens of kids that have this attitude. They woodshed to Paul Gilbert's guitar instruction video series for about a year and a half...and then I see them at gigs playing the wrong scales and arps over chord changes with awful tone, no feel, absolutely no sense of vibrato, throwing 20 notes per beat at every solo...and then they think that because you (or anyone for that matter) can't (or WONT) overplay the way they do, that they are 'better'... they walk away with this most arrogant cocky smirk...they don't get any better because they don't think they need to, they think they are 'all that' and, of course their friends are there feeding into their egos too...
I just ignore them, they won't last or get a serious gig.

Carla I've listened to many of your clips and I've never heard one ounce of originality in any of them. You sound like an average player at best, if anything given all of your high and mighty years of playing you're actually behind the curve. You need to get over your self, anybody can post clips of themselves running through the motions of the same old classic rock tunes. You're like the line6 of guitar players, there's the riff, now where's the soul?
