Hey Mike, as one of the older guys (57 and counting) on the site I would say the best thing to do is chill and not take any of this to seriously. We all have tons to learn from each other and the young and the old can show each other new things and old things if we behave as gentlemen. No ones will hear what you have to say if you are arrogant and bitter or hitting low blows. Just chill, measure your words carefuly and don't be reactive. I like the input from everyone and even though Iv'e been around for longer than most I know I can learn from the younger guys big time. I am real old school in many ways, never even owned a Marshall or Mesa just my 40 year old Guild which isn't real loud but very toneful. The site is about gear and stuff to make music not how old or young we are. I have learned alot about new things like I just ordered my MojoVibe due to input here from others. The cool thing is we are musicians and a strange lot at that. Lets chill.

Its tough when you have had to defend yourself all your life, Bill--I come from pretty rough neighborhoods on the Island--if you are not strong and willing to defend yourself physically and verbally you dont survive.

Ill try my best to stay cool--hard, with kids poking fun at you constantly.

Thanks--

Your friend.

nice fix. you only wish you were as fast as i am...i'll race ya any day of the week.

Yeah just chill, you are setting yourself up to get played and we should be playing our guitars and not each other. Just chill, measure your words and read what you post and edit it before you send it. You have done some cool things and seen some great bands in your time. Just cause you had the tumor and the surgury your life isn't over. You can still enjoy the music others are making today, the new stuff. I have a bunch of kids and they keep me young going to shows etc. I remember seeing Beck when he first came out before anybody ever even heard of him. That was pretty neat. Hanging out with the guys from Kings X was way cool and I learned plenty from those young players. Hendrix is gone but so many guys and girls have picked up the music and charged forward. Some is great some is crap but its fun to be involved. My one son plays punk stuff in Philly and I go see him at the typical dive clubs with 30 people watching. I don't really like what he does to much but I bend over backwards to make it happen for him. He has my 79 hardtail strat and my 72 martin. Chill dude.

Stop instigating it. You'll be surprised how things change when you don't strive to be the forum tool.

Christ. Mike, as someone who doesn't usually participate in these forum-wide skirmishes, take it from me, your behavior here is absurd. You say things like, "this board is no better than HC, why can't the mods foster a more mature environment" and "these kids show no respect and trash the forum," yet you constantly start shit with threads like this and stir the pot with no one provoking you. Brain surgery or not, start acting your goddamn age or if you are going to behave like a fucking child, don't be a hypocrite about it. Say what you want, I have never bashed you in the past and I am saying this from an unbiased perspective.
